Meg Hutchinson (www.meghutchinson.com)

Meg Hutchinson is an award-winning songwriter who artfully documents the human condition. With a poet's ease, she makes the personal universal, allowing people's stories to come alight through unique vocals and haunting melodies. Her influences include poet Mary Oliver, songwriter Shawn Colvin and mood maker David Gray. Originally from rural western-most Massachusetts, Hutchinson now lives in the Boston area, tours nationally in the US, and internationally in Canada, the UK and Ireland. Since her Red House Records debut album "Come Up Full," Hutchinson has received high praise and has been featured on NPR Music, XM/Sirius Radio and Mountain Stage, among other programs. She comes to Folk Alliance with a new album "The Living Side" released on February 9th (Red House Records).
