MARKET MONKEYS RECOMMENDS...
PERFORMING AT FOLK ALLIANCE 2009

NATALIA ZUKERMAN (New York NY USA)

Sound chemist and truth-seeker

New York bred and San Francisco inspired, Natalia recently moved from Boston to Brooklyn - where she lives, paints and makes music. Like her paintings, her sounds are compositions in layers of inspired visions and the interplay between bold and muted colors. Smokey vocals, vulnerable lyrics and traditionally honed guitar playing over edgy, contemporary beats. The result is music that when performed in concert is sophisticated, intimate, warm, introspective, musing and irreverent all at once. Natalia has been touring in support of her new album "Brand New Frame," produced by Willy Porter, and released on his label Weasel Records.

"bluesy folk-rock tunes, burnished croon, and serious guitar chops [that] demand your attention" - Time Out NY
